Capacity Building Workshop on 'Orientation to Planning and Budgeting for Water & Sanitation' 4 - 6 June, 2018
A Capacity Building Workshop on ‘Orientation to Planning and Budgeting for Water & Sanitation' was held from June 4th to 6th, 2018 at Gopalpur, Ganjam District, Odisha. The Workshop was organised by CBGA, Gram Utthan and Watershed India.
The participants in the workshop includes leaders and representatives of Panchayati Raj Institutions, members of SHGs, Village Water & Sanitation Committees, staff of Gram Utthan and other CSOs. The Additional Block Development Officer and Gram Panchayat Executive Officer of Chatrapur Block also attended and deliberated a session on the first day of the Workshop.
The learning objectives of the two and a half day Workshop were that participants would get an understanding of the programmes and schemes for water and sanitation services in the district. It aimed to focus on the points of intervention and engagement of PRI and CSO members within their respective roles. Finally, the Workshop attempted to show how planning and budgeting is done at the local level.
