CBGA in collaboration with Save the Children undertook a study titled 'Cost of universalising Early Childhood Education in India' to estimate the total budgetary allocation needed for making quality ECE available for all 3-6 years age group children in the country. The study also provides an assessment of how much is getting invested for ECE services in India at present. The study offers policy-level recommendations needed to ensure the provision of quality ECE services to all children. A Report and a Policy Brief have been developed capturing the findings of the study.
The study was released on September 20, 2022 during a programme. This was followed by a Panel Discussion on 'Universalising ECE in India: Investment, not a Cost'.
