On 12th May 2020, Prime Minister announced Rs. 20 lakh crore package for farmers, cottage industry, MSMEs, labourers, middle class etc., titled the AatmaNirbhar Bharat Abhiyan to aid the country out of the Coronavirus crisis. Subsequently, the Finance Minister announced specific measures in five tranches for various sectors of the economy. These measures contain both fiscal and monetary measures combined into a single package.
