Primer on Civil Society Budget Work
This primer comes in handy as a ready-reckoner on issues related to budgetary provisions and public finance issues, and is useful, not only for the civil society institutions engaged in budget work and policy advocacy but also for field level functionaries associated with implementing programs on budget and policy advocacy. In the event of continued withdrawal of the State from provisioning for basic services such as education, leading to several social and economic issues, such as inequality, exclusion, and erosion of secular framework of education, this document makes an attempt to fill the inevitable gap of providing the information (knowledge) as well as the techniques to be adopted (facilitation tools) to transform knowledge into practice.
