Public Expenditure Review for Nutrition in Jharkhand
The report, developed in collaboration with Save the Children, India examines public expenditure on nutrition in Jharkhand and one of its under performing districts, West Singhbhum to explore why the key nutrition indicators continue to be low despite the focused actions taken by the Government of Jharkhand. Enlisting all the interventions and their coverage in the State and in West Singhbhum district, the report looks at how much the State spends on these interventions, adequacy of nutrition budget, and utilisation of funds. Identifying factors affecting utilisation of funds and bottlenecks in the flow of funds, the report makes recommendations for course correction.
