Sayamsiddha is interested in areas related to the urban informal economy, women and work, labour in Global Value Systems, digitisation and the future of work. At CBGA, she is currently working on the aspects related to enhancing budget transparency and accountability in India.

Previously, she has taken on research internships and participated in various volunteer programs. She has also conducted independent research which she presented in seminars conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru University in collaboration with the National Commission for Women, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai and Nevin Economic Research Institute, Dublin in collaboration with the University College Dublin.

Sayamsiddha has completed her BA in Social Sciences from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Guwahati and her MA in Development and Labour Studies from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.
