Jannet is working as a Senior Policy Analyst with CBGA focusing on social sector . Her area of research interest includes education, health, and gender. Her research works on public finance covers analysis of state finances, gender budgeting and child budgeting, which include projects on Benefit Incidence Analysis of public expenditure on health, Public Expenditure Review of nutrition programme in Gujarat focusing on ICDS, Child Responsive Budgeting as a public finance management tool, and Analysing the State Finances of Karnataka.

Prior to joining CBGA, she worked as Manager with Ernst and Young’s Economic Advisory team in Kerala. In her early career, she has worked as research assistant in various projects including HIV-AIDS intervention project of Kerala State AIDS Control Society, UNDCP’s Rapid Situation Assessment among Drug Abusers conducted by Kerala State Mental Health Authority, and ‘INDIASAFE Project’ on spousal violence. She also served as IEC Specialist for RWSS project in Kollam District of Kerala State.

Jannet holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Centre for Development Studies, JNU, for her study on Higher Education. She also holds a Masters in Economics, Sociology and Mass Communication and Journalism.
