Sarah Farooqui co-leads the financial transparency work at CBGA, she engages closely with the Financial Transparency Coalition which works to curtail the illicit financial flows through promotion of a transparent, accountable and sustainable financial system. She also serves as the institutional editor.
Sarah comes with an experience in different aspects of policy research and advocacy. She has worked at UNESCO, Myanmar, National Foundation for India, and Digital Empowerment Foundation. In her past jobs, she has also discharged editorial responsibilities; and has served as an editor and long-form writer with Business Standard, and prior to that as a book reviewer for the online blogging platform Punditry.
Sarah holds an undergraduate honours degree in Literature from St Stephen's College, Delhi University, a Pre-MBA certificate from Yale School of Management, Yale University, and a Master of Public Policy from the Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford, where she was a Chevening Scholar.
