Sharad's research interests are public finance, education, sustainable development, and health. Currently, at CBGA, he is working as a Senior Policy Analyst, where his current focus is on taxation.

Prior to joining CBGA, Sharad worked at the Accountability Initiative, CPR, primarily delving into Union and State budgets, with a special emphasis on centrally sponsored schemes, state finances, state education finance, as well as governance, health, and labour market-related issues. Additionally, he has gained experience at the Centre for Budget and Policy Studies (CBPS), where he contributed to projects involving pre-primary education cost analysis, governance, and public finance. Sharad holds a Master of Public Policy degree from Jindal Global University and an undergraduate honours degree in Economics from Delhi University.
